Summer Moonshine.

London: Herbert Jenkins, n.d. [c.1940]. Fourth printing (stated). Hardcover. 312pp + [8] advert pages. Pages firm, bright and clean: no inscriptions or marks. A wartime publication: the publishers' advertisements for other books by Plum include two which were published in 1940: so this printing must come between those and his next book, published in 1942. This is reinforced by the WW2 message on the back flap of the dust jacket, which urges people to listen to the BBC's London Calling for 'the truth from London'. In the original bright orange Jenkins cloth titled in black. Corners sharp, a couple of faint marks to the lower spine. In the protected professionally repaired dust jacket - flaps and upper and lower panels mostly present, but unfortunately missing its spine. Classic Wodehouse, and a very enjoyable read. Near Fine / good. Item #19402030
